No lies detected here, NDP is the party of mass immigration and virtue signalling at the moment, by-election posters with Palestine flags, calling for giving students overstaying their visas citizenship or PR, it’s all just so hilariously out of touch.
Kevin Lamoureux is not wrong.
Getting rid of the federal NDP would be one of the best things that could happen in Canadian politics. All they really do is split the left vote and allow the Conservatives to win, even though most Canadians are left-leaning progressives.
If the NDP disappeared, all those votes would likely go to the Liberals, ensuring federal Liberal dominance.
Consequently, we would have more stable, long-term progressive policies and less risk of them being reversed every few years when the Conservatives get in power.
A permanent Liberal government would usher in a prosperous era like never before in Canadian history.
The NDP’s in a bad spot at this exact moment, but they’re far from irrelevant and they aren’t going anywhere. No more than they disappeared in the 90s when they were in a bad spot.
Of course, the Liberals have a vested interest in portraying the NDP as irrelevant and doomed. So they’re not exactly reliable commentators on the state of the NDP.
I mean yeah so is the bq it’s called politics. Today they’re irrelevant tomorrow they’re reborn as a left-socialist powerhouse under a red tory Liberal government and runaway corporate cronyism.
It wasn’t too long ago the Liberals were dead in the water before they pivoted hard. Maybe get to work and stop picking fights to your left. It’s not there that’s the problem.
