I think Trump’s expectations completely missed the mark.

Is he that stupid to think one bombing will stop them from producing nukes?

      EDIT:

„Officials now admit that the location of the uranium is not known“

      Yes he is that stupid

That’s great! It starts with an earthquake. Birds and snakes, and aeroplanes and Lenny Bruce is not afraid.

    3. „Given the president’s shifts and feints“ Boy, these guys are still true believers. The idea that anything goes on in his head apart from his ego is fantastic.

Oh gee, you mean trump got involved and things are worse than they already were?!!

    5. On top of uninformed also incredibly incompetent? Not my president, no sir /s

You’re telling me bombing and then shouting „it’s time for peace“ didn’t deescalate the situation?

    7. If at some point, Iran goes, „Okay, we give up. We won’t enrich uranium anymore,“ there would have to be an agreement in place to inspect their facilities to make sure they’re not doing it. They could use the old agreement.

    8. It doesn’t matter whether they hit or not. By doing this after the Israeli attack and its announcement that „regime change“ was its war goal, he’s put the USA on a path where all it can do is escalate or retreat. Furthermore, he has been easily manipulated into this by a foreign government playing into his insecurities and stupidity, specifically his desire to seem a „strong leader“.

Bombings won’t topple Iran’s government. An invasion would cause millions of deaths and would be more likely to topple the USA government than to achieve anything in Iran that outlasts an occupation, provided that it’s even winnable, which is highly uncertain. The USA can not win this and it can not go back to diplomacy either. None of its allies will go along either; given who started it and what they’re also doing, it would be electoral suicide.

The USA is already stuck in a war with no achievable goals and no easy way to disengage, all because the president is an insecure idiot.

Trump is an absolute menace who should be in jail. And to think how close we came to that being the outcome. Sooner he’s stopped the better. Impeachment needs to happen like yesterday

Now we’re begging China to help us with oil in the straight of Hormuz after all the trade war and antagonizing talk. Fill up your gas tanks folks.

What the hell was “the mark” that this missed? The goal was never sanity, nor intelligence, leadership, the well-being of Americans or anyone else. I’m not sure what mark was missed when our leader gets on stage and pisses in all directions.

Seeing Iran get hit didn’t make me sad they earned it in spades. My concern was with how effective whisky Pete & Tulsi the Russian asset bitch would be. What a timeline.

    13. It would appear Trump needed a distraction and hurried the process knowing spinning the outcome was all that mattered.

    14. It didn’t miss the mark. The news cycle is dominated by it as a topic now. Meanwhile, there’s a bill with a really stupid name being pushed through and that’s the goal.

Pete Hegseth must be drunk as usual when assessing those areas to hit

Hope so. I’ve been protesting actions in the middle east for fucking, what? Thirty years and change?

MAYBE THIS TIME WE’LL ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT’S STUPID!

Probably not. We could have made our whole country renewable for the money we’ve spent, but that wouldn’t have enriched a bunch of people who are very probably…*quite* delicious.

    17. Hell blame the intelligence community for his failure. He didn’t have his director of intelligence in the room when he made the decision (because she made him mad last week). What a child.

I’m pretty sure he just believes everything BB tells him.. and all BB wants is the US involved.

trump always has picked and chosen whatever reality suits him at the moment, so if the CIA and bb disagree it’s basically a coin toss as to who he’ll side with and being that the adults are no longer in the room to point anything out he’s probably not done making huge blinders that will cost American lives.

    18. If he can turn gambling, steaks and vodka into shit, imagine a thing like war. Who could have seen it?

In all fairness Pete is blackout drunk and doing the best he can without pissing his pants in public.

So if Iran actual does have nukes, and we just assassinated their entire leadership, I’d be pretty mad about that.

    21. The right is busy claiming total victory and gloating that Trump is greatest president of all time, and no facts will change that.

    22. youknowhattodo on

Sorry this probably belongs on r/conspiracy but missing the mark is probably planned. 0 zero casualties from each sides attacks. We know Trump and Putin are bed buddies. This is all for show.

More incompetence from Team Trump- the group that values loyalty over experience? Nobody should be shocked by this news.

    24. Bibi’s been warning about Iran’s nuke program for 30 years.  Which means Israel had 30 years to develop their own ‚bunker buster‘ program to deal with it.

    25. The fact that they were so emphatic about the bombing runs success only a few hours afterwards, should have been a red flag for everyone. How could they possibly have known with any measure of certainty in such a short amount of time. Then I remembered tRumps default operating mode: If his lips are moving he’s lying. I remember being a kid and thinking how funny a statement it is but also how this couldn’t be 100% true for everyone. Thank you president tRump. „If tRump’s lips are moving, he’s lying.“
