      A lot of public declarations coming out of his PR team lately. Not one of them has been an apology to his kids.

      *Pitt also shared that while he was a bit “shy” coming into the AA group, he also didn’t hesitate to open up because of how low he was at that time.*

      *“I was pretty much on my knees, and I was really open,” he told Shepard. “I was trying anything and everyone. Anything anyone threw at me. It was a difficult time. I needed rebooting. I needed to wake the f— up in some areas. And it just meant a lot to me.”*

      He said this on Dax’s podcast. Didn’t mention it had to do with Jolie specifically.

      Apparently. Seems AA can help manage alcoholism. It can’t change the fact that you remain a shit human being

      Living a life of recovery involves more than just abstinence from substances, it includes behaviors that would cause your kids not to sever their relationships with you.

      There are literally photos of him drinking on his current press tour. I remember a couple of years ago, SAG posted a photo of him drinking at the awards on social media with some comment about „pour decisions“ that they later deleted (I’m assuming because it didn’t vibe with his supposed „sobriety“).

      Interesting that he is talking about it since one of the rules of AA is “we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, and films.” 😒

      I only just read the account of what he did to his family on the plane a few months ago. I have absolutely no stomach to see of his future works. He should go away.

      Oh please, his apologies need to be just as loud as the disrespect. I would respect him more if he just came out with a public apology to his children instead of doing these pr pieces, it’s so disingenuous. Even Shia’s crazy ass was out doing interviews and talking about what a horrible person he is. Brad is a narcissist fr, he has taken zero accountability.

      You’d think that Fight Club would have helped remind him that one of AA’s primary tenants is that you don’t talk about being in AA on this scale. You are not permitted to be a spokesperson and in acting like one you put the driving purpose of AA at risk.

      Not to be dismissive of but this makes me think of the set up for a joke, like how can Brad Pitt be Anonymous anywhere in the world let alone an Alcoholics support group.

      Better later then never. No one should forget the things he did, but if he’s actively trying to better himself, then that’s more than most with substance abuse problems can say. I would also hope he’s getting anger management therapy as well.

      Personally if he was abusive and then sought help for his demons then good for him. It doesn’t change the past but working to better yourself is a good thing.

      I don’t understand this desire to act like people can never grow and change and become better people.

      I think everyone(within reason) deserves redemption if they try and seek it.

      While he was sober he was antagonizing and menacing AJ and the kids over the winery. Why now? Because you have two movies and your name isn’t a draw anymore? I do not give an actual fuck about this guy. He’s a violent asshole who got away with it because of his looks, money, and power. He can fade away into obscurity now.

      “I needed a reboot” is such a shitty way to attempt to take accountability for yourself.

      He’d be a much more sympathetic figure (if that’s even possible) if he just came out and said when he drank he turned into a monster and is taking steps to heal himself and his broken family.

      Everyone knows what he did. Until he *really* faces who he was as a husband and father he’ll continue to be isolated from his children. Period.

      At this point his image and career seem more important to him than his relationship with his children.

      When you have a partner that drinks too much . The other partner is sick of it and completely doesn’t drink anymore . They ruin casual drinking too .
