      If Russia is going to be bogged down in Ukraine, it’s entirely in their interest to see the US get similarly involved in a protracted war in the Middle East. Force your adversary to spend money, tie up their military forces, builds internal dissent. Putin senses an opportunity here and China is happy to look like the stable force on the global scene. This is what happens when the US goes alone in taking military action without any support from allies or from NATO or the UN.

      Trump’s fucking incompetence is going to lead to nuclear proliferation. Iran is likely to be more determined than ever to get nukes after this. Meanwhile, our allies in Europe and Asia are looking more into nuclear armament, because they cannot trust the security of the US nuclear umbrella.

      Bombed a country that posed no immediate threat to us. US intelligence and the UN have both concluded there was no nuclear weapons program. Taco king sent them right into the arms of Russia, China and North Korea. All because Benjamin Netanyahu told him to. Trump is a monster and will go down in history with the likes of Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini and his love interest, Putin.

      The United States has become a client state in foreign policy matters, where:

      • Sovereignty is rented to the highest bidder through political donations

      • Military commitments are triggered by foreign actions rather than independent American strategic assessment

      • Democratic governance is subordinated to financial influence networks serving foreign priorities

      • American lives are expendable in service of foreign strategic objectives

      To China, yes, because China comes close to being a competitor to the US. Russia: no, you’re really overestimating them. Just look at their economy size and military power. America could fight 10 of these wars and still be much more powerful than Russia. And I’m not some American chauvinist. I’m European and I hate Trump.

      We bomb Iran claiming it has to be done so they don’t build nukes, even though our own Intel said they weren’t, anyway.

      We demand they „return to negotiations“ after Israel preemptively attacked their country, specifically targeting their lead negotiators. 

      Now Russia may respond by giving nukes to Iran, thereby defeating the entire supposed point of bombing Iran to begin with.

      All in less than a month. 

      What an incredible display of American diplomacy /s

      Yea, this is exactly why you need diplomacy. The hubris of thinking this can’t happen and there are no potentially life changing or ending consequences of an attack such as yesterday’s is a level of self assured confidence built on nothing but ignorance. As it was once said, grown men are supposed to stop wars, not start them.
