











Wenn diese Balkonen sprechen könnten, was würden sie uns sagen? Von Klatsch über Kaffee, von Generationen, die die Welt vorbeischauen. Jedes Knarren und jede Farbe enthält eine Erinnerung, die ich nie erfahren werde, aber ich fühle es trotzdem. Ich frage mich, wie viele Leben hier die Schultern direkt jenseits der Fensterläden gebürstet.

In all seriousness though, amazing shots of what’s probably one of the most recognizable element of traditional Maltese architecture.
It’s always been a bit confusing to me that with how well loved these seem to be both locally and internationally no effort was put into keeping at least some of the aesthetic of them in modern Maltese architecture.
