Republican Representative Thomas Massie said that President Donald Trump’s decision to bomb three nuclear sites in Iran is „unconstitutional“ as the president faces stark division within his own party.

The act being unconstitutional is just an objective statement of fact. The real issue here is whether the US constitution actually matters any more.

I honestly thought it would take more time for maga to pivot to being pro-war. I thought it would need a gradual reorientation of their media telling them that they now believe the opposite of what they currently believe, and that that would be on the scale of about a year. Especially considering how absolutely adamant they were about being pro-peace and no Middle Eastern involvement.
But look at their posts and comments already. They’ll have entirely pivoted within the week.

Make no mistake, the only reason MAGA is divided on this issue is because Russian propaganda is actively supporting Iran as their major ally, proving once again it’s Putin who controls MAGA, not Trump.
The president, as Commander in Chief, has the authority to order limited military strikes. This authority stems from Article II of the Constitution, which grants the president broad powers over the military, including the deployment of forces. While Congress has the power to declare war, presidents have historically exercised the power to order military actions without a formal declaration, particularly for limited strikes or responses to perceived threats.

The moment a Republican president claims it’s **for our protection, they all fall in line like lemming**. Already happening on conservative subbreddits. Before two weeks it was *no war*.
Massie appears to be the only one.
Trump informed Republican leaders of his plans but *did not consult Democrats* until just after the strike but before his announcement.

Representatives of half the country were not informed. *This* is why we have both House and Senate Committees on Armed Services; oversight. Committees with experience militarily and legislatively are *supposed* to be consulted and informed.
Four more in the House because of majority, and one less in the Senate due to minority. Only a handful of Republicans were told beforehand but *not* the full committee.
This is a President woefully inexperienced because of his lack of service who thinks he is brilliant. You have a Secretary of DOD who is universally evaluated as unqualified. We do have experienced Generals who executed the strike but, one wonders why *they* aren’t Secretary of Defense.
