      Like it matters rules are not laws and Republicans will have no issue ignoring the parliamentarian.

      Yeah, forcing the states to cut back on their SNAP programs. Although the work rule may still stand.

      What are the odds the either:

      1. Ignore the parliamentarian and pass it anyway

      2. Change the rules so it could still be in the bill

      3. Create a separate bill whose purpose is to cut SNAP benefits

      I have to laugh. All the taxpayer funds being wasted on $45 m parades, building a ballroom at the White House while tearing out the rose garden, all the money spent on ICE who terrorize our communities, and then tax cuts to the wealthy. But let’s be sure to save taxpayer dollars by taking food away from poor people. /s

      I mean, they’ve been ignoring the Parliamentarian over and over, at this point this feels more like they’re pretending to pay attention so they can claim the Parliamentarian suddenly matters when Democrats try to pass something.

      I wonder if there’s any areas where Dems can prevail on an amendment. Maybe for instance Lee’s land sale, or if Hawley holds his position on Medicaid.
