The idea that polls reflect the electorate and thus has ramifications for elections seems to something the regime has discarded. Whether it’s that they don’t believe polls or that free and fair elections are a thing of the past is really the question.
And he’s behaved exactly as all the adults expected. What were these people thinking would happen? Were they just in some complete fantasy la-la-land of their own making?
But he’s still in office so none of that matters.
