Who are the 4/10 who are like „I really really like Schumer.“ Lol
They’re probably the same people who think it’s a big deal when Schumer writes Trump very strong letters with 8-9 strongly worded questions.

Hard to prescribe fixes in today’s American electorate and today’s up and coming generation that is active and experiencing the world unlike any generation before with the technological advancements. Go young, embrace the youth would be advice. Ditch the Schumers of the party for sure.

I don’t even see leadership taking place from people in leadership positions. This isn’t really that grand of a take. Bernie, AOC, Pete and a handful of others are the only ones making a dent, and they’re not in any real positions of power.

All the comments by Democratic Reps saying ‚We stand with Israel‘ after Israel attacked ANOTHER nation are gross.
Israel have killed countless civilians, aid workers, medics, journalists, etc. Across Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Israel kills non-combatants and it ok. As an American I find it disgusting that nothing happens when Israel’s military kills American citizens with zero recourse. In fact we sent weapons after each time it’s happened.
If you are standing with Israel, what pile of innocent’s bodies are you standing on?

Old, out of touch, and campaign on our rights without actually guaranteeing them to us. The Dems court money, just as the Republicans. Jeffries and Schumer are prime examples of why the Democrats will lose midterms. If they can get it together and actually be the party to *oppose*, then we will get somewhere.

The Uniparty is controlled by the Oligarchs. The Dinosaurs who control the Democrats destroy lives all the way down to the county level for those who try to change it. If you dont understand or believe this you havent participated in a meaningful manner.
For more than 10 years, Democratic voters haven’t had a fair shot at picking their candidate. In 2016, it came out that the DNC was working against Bernie Sanders while pretending to stay neutral. They rigged debate schedules, gave inside info to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and made it pretty obvious they were stacking the deck. The whole thing was fake. The outcome was decided before the votes were even cast.
In 2020, the party did it again, just more carefully. They changed debate rules to keep some candidates out, and then right before Super Tuesday, all the moderate candidates dropped out at once and endorsed Biden, basically helping him crush Bernie’s momentum. And in 2024, they didn’t even bother pretending. No debates, no real primary, just Biden. They even shuffled the primary calendar to give him an early win in South Carolina. Democratic voters haven’t had a real say in who gets nominated for a long time. The party leadership keeps rigging the game to protect their preferred pick.

Definitely would love new leadership but in the same poll we get…
“The poll also found that many party members believe Democratic leaders are focusing too heavily on cultural issues such as electric vehicles and transgender rights while neglecting economic concerns. “
This is how you know, even in the Democratic Party, that the GOP control the narrative of what the Democrats support and focus on. Nearly everything the Biden administration pushed was about the economy… and electric cars are a “cultural issue”?

Until both parties live in the same reality it doesn’t matter. As long as half the country believes that Fox is the last place for truth in a god forsaken world … I don’t know it just has to get so bad that republicans are forced to see that they are just being fed little spoonfuls of shit because it’s gonna be expensive to fix all this.
*personally I see no reason to ever believe anything out of the GOPs mouths ever, and I think if you do you’re either a hater or an imbecile. Soon as they decided the only way to win was to go with whatever trumped up thing the liar in chief said they lost all credibility.

When Trevor Noah hosted The Daily Show, he was talking about a young woman prime minister/president (I forget which office exactly) from another country and he said ‘yes, there are countries that are led by people who don’t have osteoporosis’ while a picture of Schumer, McConnell, Pelosi, and Biden appeared on the screen next to him. He was making a very good point.

Of course the party needs leadership, there isn’t any. There’s a progressive – centrist divide and both sides are convinced they can’t win elections unless the leadership is on their end.
I’m reasonably progressive but am convinced the party does better in statewide/national elections with a centrist candidate. I think Kamala, who had plenty of faults, got the worst of it, a centrist candidate (as understood by Democrats) who was portrayed by the right wing, and therefore most media, as a marxist, so she didn’t appeal much to either side.
That said, AOC is easily the best messenger the party currently has with Buttegieg maybe the next closest. The problem is their appeal to the racist, sexist and homophobic voters, who would rather put a conservative man in over a candidate who’s positions they prefer.
