I went to a Garth brooks concert and they had these special cases that you put your phone in and it had to be opened when you left… Way better concert hate phones at events

She said she felt like it was the 70s at a concert with no phones. People didn’t have phones 24 seven with them in the 90s and 00s at concerts. But we sure had a lot of fun.

Good. I’m so tired of people complaining about how boring concerts are for being the same set every night — you’re kinda meant to just experience the show *you* attend, not watch videos of it every night on TikTok until you’re bored of it.
I remember when they weren’t banned because they weren’t around. I’m old AF, but damn it was fucking amazing!
Just charge people to bring a phone in. No banning, just cash.

You kids can finally experience life, as it happens! For reference- in particular check out videos of DMX performing. Look at the audience. Every single person there is LIVING. Not behind a screen, not saving it for later- but living right there and then.
I have 97,000 photos in my camera roll and barely look at them. Take a picture before the concert, take a picture after. Live your life fully, if only for a moment. For just one concert.

This is dumb. Some people can afford to go to this experience again. Most can’t. Taking away their ability to save and cherish a memory like this is so disgusting. Shame on her tbh. Hope her career crashes and burns.
Seeing everyone comparing this to movie theaters is crazy. They are so far from the same things it’s insane to see how you all logic that.
I don’t see how she could do it but people need to be re-educated into living in the moment and enjoying it. Why go to a live event and watch it through a phone? The sound on the recording will sound like crap and you’ll probably never watch it again anyway. Just soak everything up with your eyes. Memories last forever
2011 tool concert everyone left phones etc in boxes. Makes so much sense, don’t use your phone watching a concert!
