They’ve been close since Henry Cavill was a student at The Stowe School in the UK, a fancy private school that costs tens of £thousands a year. Russell Crowe was filming the movie Proof of Life at Cavill’s fancy school, which by the way has a huge drama department, and Crowe took a shine to the teenage Cavill, sending him care packages and giving career advice. They then went on to star in Man of Steel together. I have no doubt Russell Crowe signing on to both these movies is absolutely down to Cavill being in them.
