      In one of the student visa cases, the attorney for the student threatened with deportation said the government is using AI to identify people to target. That’s how they work to meet quota.

      AI images need human review to make sure they didn’t add an extra finger or nose. AI code generators need qualified programmers to review and test the generated output because it’s often wrong. Is ICE smart enough to follow up on suspect hits in AI? No, and they don’t care.

      I live in Newberg. Trump signs have been disappearing around town. Our tiny towns no kings protest had hundreds of protestors because of this. It’s not enough or course but having it hit close to home has made it that much more obvious. But also it empowered supporters more. At the protest we had every slur yelled at us, giant white trucks trying to run us off the road. It’s been scary.

      Dang! This reminds me of an Argentinian movie I watched decades ago about family abductions during their dictatorship. It left an indelible impression on me. Never did I think I would get to experience this today. I always felt for the family searching.
