63% seems massively lower than I expected based on the rhetoric I saw from coworkers on both sides of the issue. But still, its not popular and it’s downright idiotic to even consider it.
The other 37% is
* 10% in favor
* 12% unsure
* 15% other responses „including questions about implementation, suggestions for other alternatives, non-answers, and incomplete responses“
I think that’s damning for just how bad of an idea this is, the amount of people whose answer is „I dunno“ outnumber those who support it.

Someone else said it and it’s probably true. This 63% is after their work fudging the numbers as much as possible in their favour.
This after grossly inflating the numbers and bombarding Albertans with constant commercials for months last fall.
I’d like to think they would drop this now, but the people who support this are a hardened lot who will likely try to figure out another approach and come back in a few years.
