Really feels like we’re regressing as a society at a fast pace recently.

Who are these people complaining about stuff that has no bearing on their lives whatsoever?
There is a building down the road from me that has a sculpture of one of the most brutal execution methods of all time. I am deeply offended at this, who can I complain to?
When the trans community warn that a backslide in trans rights will result in a backslide in LGBT+ rights in general, this is what they’re talking about.

Bet these same people would have some strong views on how certain other cultures conduct themselves when it comes to freedom of religion and belief. Nothing like a little hypocrisy to add to the bigot shower.
My friend lost her job in adult education yesterday via email. Derbyshire fucking over its own people for the pleasure of bigots. It’s very Reform.

I don’t think government office buildings should have any flags but the flags of the country and location. Seems simplest.

Among the changes rolled out by the new Reform administration was the introduction of prayer at the beginning of full council meetings.
Numerous new Reform councillors, including group whip Cllr Dan Price, have made reference to the “undermining and mocking of British and Christian culture” and that “we are a Christian nation”.
Of all the things to complain about. People seriously need a life
you can’t fly pride flags any more because it might offend a christian. it’s health and safety gone mad.
If you’re fine with this, replace Christians with Muslims and see how you’d feel.
My dad emailed the council leader about this and he’s put another flag up next door.
I would really love it if they said „local Christian bookshop“ not just Christians
I’m Christian…churches I go to are very live and let live and it’s about you being a good/kind person not you dictating to others. It’s part of why I’m so loud about LGBTQ rights, people shouldn’t live in fear or being hated. It’s not my job to judge it’s my job to offer friendship without judgement
All this just to say: saying it’s all one type of person just adds to division and more hatred
You either allow all flags, without exception or you allow none. Once you start allowing some upset group the right to determine whose flag is allowed, you’re on a slippery slope.
The problem with the UK is there are far too many people whose definition of free expression only reaches the end of their nose. If you don’t support everyone’s right to free expression, you don’t really support free expression.
It’s time we transition to a secular society, no more outdated dystopia practices please

So Christians preach about love, togetherness, harmony and tolerance for one another but not when it applies to anyone else who doesn’t believe in an imaginary old man in the clouds? Gotcha.

I also find it extremely offensive the worship and promotion of such violence.

Attention Christians: Shut the fuck up. I was going to say this doesn’t affect you but there are thousands of people that dare not come out because of the very real fear that they’ll be alienated by members of their own faith.
People are worried about Muslims in this country. Don’t ignore the hate and harm Christian groups cause.
Good to see Reform getting to grips with key issues that affect the lives of local people – Special Educational Needs funding? Social care services? Essential roadworks? Serious local poverty? The housing crisis? – Nope, all that stuff is far less important than…not flying a flag???

Well, it does seem like they could have chosen a better place to hang the flag then right outside a Christian shop. I also don’t understand why city’s are getting involved. Pride flags should be for private people or businesses to display, not for government.
The only rights you can ask for do not remove the rights of others.
Does this Christian „right“ squash LGBTQ+ rights? Yes. Then it is unjust and should not be considered a right.
