I mean, it’s not like the warning signs weren’t already there before Trump even won. Also Noem is basically a puppet for Miller and Homan at this point, and presumably any DHS Secretary would’ve been, and any future one will be too.
The answer was always to vote no on any DHS nominee, regardless of who they were or what their career was before Trump won the second time.

(1) Democratic Senators were stupid to vote for Kristi Noem and the rest of the incompetent ass-kissers, crooks, fools, flunkies, goons, liars, psychopaths, and thieves (a.k.a. Trump’s cabinet appointees) that many of them voted for.
(2) If every Democratic Senator voted against every Trump appointee, they would all have been confirmed anyway. Yes „protest“ votes (by legislators) can be important. Just keep the facts in mind: the Democrats could and should have shined a brighter spotlight on Trump’s cabinet of unqualified losers, but could not have prevented any of them from being confirmed.
