      this is terrible and looking worst by the day. All of those military build up isn’t just there for defense. Combined with the fact they are evacuating all Americans in the middle east, it looks like we are not only bombing nuclear facility but literally an invasion to initiate a regime change.

      Here comes trillions of dollars being spent in middle east wars again….

      Committee rules often impose a time limit on members who are asking questions. And ass stains like this guy use such rules to avoid answering them: they pivot to something else until their time is out. This needs to change. Each member should have the right to insist on an answer and not yield their time until it is answered. Stay there all night if needed. Anyone could object to the chair in the case of trick questions or call for a committee vote on the validity of a question as a safeguard because we know trick questions happen. But for a clear yes or no question like this one, let him get blisters on his tender buttocks if it takes him two days to answer it.

      Why is he not being held accountable for failing to answer questions?

      Because our entire system of government relied on people having honor and dignity.

      The system has no self-executing functions to remove or penalize jackassery.

      They have learned that nothing holds them accountable.

      No amount of yelling.
      No amount of bad press.
      No amount of protests.

      What do they fear? Losing their jobs?

      They get their cushy post-work kickback position from their corporate sponsors.

      They are cowards. They lie and cheat and steal and don’t care about the people who voted them in.

      This is horrifying. Pete, there will come a time when you’re not the secretary of defense under a dictator. And where some semblance of normalcy returns. And history will remember and judge you for the decisions you’re making right now. So far, you’re making a lot of wrong decisions that will lump you in with some of the worst ever Americans.
