The Armenian PM is famously well-placed to prognosticate about the possibility of war when even his much better-connected counterparts the world over are unsure what the future will bring in the Middle East and Caucasus.

Wars don’t happen suddenly, there’s military buildup, logistic trails being established and political actions leading up to them. Everyone who had eyes and brains knew that the 2020 war was coming at least one month before it happened.
However, with how fucked shit is right now he is absolutely in no position to give this reassurance to anyone. Americans are building up to what looks like a full on aerial assault on Iran and they have the capability to reduce the entire Iranian government to atoms with bunker busters. Even if there’s some reassurance with the current status quo If shit hits the fan more than it already has in Iran all bets are off.
Refugees may flock to caucasus, separatist movements may emerge, new opportunities to fuck us over may be created for our neighbors and they won’t hesitate to use them.
That’s the big difference between how we do geopolitics vs how Turks and Azeris do them. We rely on status quo’s and try to balance on one foot between world powers hoping for the best.
They on the other hand just wait for the right moment to execute their plans. They are building a strong military for one crushing attack, all they need is to eliminate diplomatic costs and reduce the economic costs of such an attack.
With Iran neck deep in shit, divided west and Russian approval, that will be the perfect moment to strike.

Yeah, Pashinyan’s lost all credibility to tell us if there’s gonna be a war or not. We know how barbaric our enemies are. On the bright side, when Armenia gets dragged into this regional war, we won’t be the only ones. And apparently Iran’s looking to reach some kind of agreement with Armenia. Not sure what it entails, but hopefully they’ll be even more pro-Armenian once they secularize.

Yeah just like it was “Հաղթելու ենք” until he signed the ceasefire deal the very next day.

If Iran plunges into chaos and a South Azerbaijan emerges out of it, there would be no need for a corridor through Syunik.

The moment he says there isn’t going to be war is the moment they’ll start shooting and doing small incursions to turn the public against him. How he can’t see this and still says this shit is beyond me.
