Anyone know what happened with that shady Tesla rebate “scandal” a few months ago? I never heard if it was discovered to be legit or not. My money is on Shady.
Very happy to hear that the 2035 electric vehicle mandate will stick. Given how little pressure American automakers seem to be under from the Trump administration to make the electric transition, I’m curious to see if the mix of vehicles in Canada becomes different from the US. Right now, Canadian consumers buy essentially the same models as in the US. I’m curious if in 10 years we’ll be seeing more European and Chinese cars.
While at it, let’s expand access to EVs from other places, like European and Chinese ones.
Let’s not tie ourselves with US market options, standards, and overall inclination (or lack thereof) towards EV adoption.
