I’m getting tired of the narrative being pushed by the CBC that Israel is only “targeting military / nuclear sites” while Iran is targeting civilians – just look at how they word it:

      > Early Friday morning, Israel targeted Iran’s Defence Ministry headquarters in Tehran and sites it says were associated with Iran’s nuclear program in what appears to be the most significant attack the country has faced since the 1980s.

      > Iranian missiles evaded Israeli air defences and slammed into buildings deep inside Israel, causing civilian casualties.

According to CNN, in Iran 224 civilians (including women and children) have been killed so far and 1,481 wounded, whereas in Israel 24 people have been killed and 380 wounded (stats missing from the CBC article). You can’t reasonably continue to claim that the side killing 10x as many civilians is the one in the right. Why is Canadian media failing to paint an even remotely balanced view of the situation?

Edit: as so many people keep commenting about air defenses: Israel bombed the Iranian civilian TV broadcaster in the middle of a live transmission, in addition to civilian neighbourhoods and even a hospital.

      “Dozens lined up”

So a small portion of the city’s population, can’t imagine given the continuing problems with the US that most of Canada cares about this conflict deeply.

This kind of stuff is just misleading reporting.

The same Iran that killed Canadian citizens to the point we have zero relations with? The same Iran that shot down a Ukrainian Airliner, taking off from their own airport and covered it up.  That killed more Canadians. That Iran? Ok!

    4. I know it’s a very problematic topic, as you’re either „Terror supporter“ or „Hasbara fool“ depending on your take, but I think it’s wrong to mash the war in Gaza and the war against Iran, as it’s two different type of wars. You can also see it in the way countries are reacting to both. While it’s best to deal with everything without a war, Iran can not have nuclear weapon, regardless if Israel and Palestine will sign a peace agreement today.

Sorry, but unlike you, I do not share the idea that Israel is the only rogue player in the world, and the cause of all world problems and reasons countries are at war. I can not believe your disregard for Iranian lives and freedoms and their suffering under their current regime, but not surprising.

And enough of the Brown people shit, there are more brown people in Israel than white. It’s not about skin colour, stop being racist.
