I watched the PBS feed. No applause and he looked defeated. No crowds because they were at the “ No Kings” protests. Rubio yawned, Trump looked at his feet, the troops didn’t march in unison. Not at all what Trump wanted.

I don’t know if it was fake applause, like a prerecorded track, or yet just miced up the 100 people that showed up, but it was clearly a conscious decision to make it seem like he was being cheered by a huge crowd.
