to sum up, he claims everyone thinks we need to reform the welfare system so they are going to listen to those people who probably have zero knowledge of the welfare system…. you can usually tell those folk as they claim its so easy to get pip and they know people who are faking it….
in reality after systematically attacking the younger generation for decades and dumping level of debt just to exist, oddly enough we have a huge mental health crisis on our hands.
to the point now where they are just plain outright saying you can be disabled, but we dont care. the old system didnt just give anyone pip, you had to prove you were ill enough to qualify. the fact that 70% of all pip appeals were won by the claimant suggest actually people were genuine you vile fucks.
the frustrating part is that half of the reforms to help people are great. end the punitive system, ironically making benefits nigh on impossible locks people into neve even trying to leave as they know currently they will be refused. give people actual support to find suitable work, let them try without risk and have their claims linked if they try and find they cant do it and you will find that amazingly most people really dont want to be on the pittance of benefits and will do all they can to get back into work.
weve seen u turns on winter fuel and grooming gangs, but clearly the disabled just dont fucking rank as worthwhile. and dont tell me the tories would be better or reform, both those want shit to go further, tories wanted to wipe out pip completely.
what a sad vile country we are.

Quite simply starmer is a fucking monster. No worse than the Tories and Reform mind, but still completely shit and stubbornly sticking to the same austerity the Tories inflicted on us all.
He wants disabled people to suffer.

I’ll say it again and I’ll take the downvotes with it. He’s doing the right thing. The welfare bill was outpacing GDP by outrageous amounts and the majority of the public believed there was room for welfare cuts. He’s beholden to the voters.

Pip being an inwork benefit will be taken from those who need it to help them in work. So they’ll struggle more and if they can’t cope, well sorry, loose your job with no support. But that’s okay, because they’re plenty of jobs out there willing to take on disabled people, even if they need more support because they can’t afford it themselves.
this is going to create misery to workers, save less money than they say, push disability suicide rates higher and all for…..a one term parliament because this will only cement Starmers legacy as being one of Tory austerity.
The man has all the political nouce of a lemon sponge.
