Nachdem Nezza bei Dodgers Game „Star Spangled Banner“ auf Spanisch im Dodgers Game gesungen hatte, sagt er tränenreich: „Heute, von allen Tagen … ich musste es tun.“

It would be funny (in the way only tragedy can be funny) if they deported her for this.

    2. And good on her. God forbid she sings the national anthem in the language of half of the people attending a Dodgers game. The Dodgers (who play on land stolen from Mexican-American homeowners) really whiffed on this.

Dodgers are fine having a Fernando patch on their jerseys all season and milking his memory for every cent, but god forbid anyone speaks or sings Spanish at the ballpark

    4. Am not American – I’m assuming it’s their nation anthem? Was it sung in English first and then Spanish?
Honestly, I’ve never heard of a national anthem being written in different languages before and only ever sung in the original language it was written – however old/outdated that language and the structure/grammar of the song might be.

*Reminder to everyone that Spanish was the 1st Indo-European introduced to the Americas: including what is now the United States.*

Considering how Dodger Stadium even got built to begin with, they have some nerve to tell her not to. Good for her.

Los Angeles Dodgers. If ever there was a Spanish named ball club here it is

So insensitive of the dodgers to make that request. Seriously. Sing it in Spanish girl, im glad she did it

    9. Why! Because some racist piece of garbage might get offended. Too bad, unless your ancestors lived in a teepee you need to shut up!

Usually I hate it when people pull stunts like this but this is pretty iconic.

    11. Outta the loop here, but in the video I saw the woman „asked her to sing it in English today“ implying that it’s been sung in Spanish in the past. Is that not the case?

    12. Just wait until you hear about how the Dodgers went to D.C. to kiss Trump’s ring a few months ago.

    13. Can’t wait for the conservatives to talk about the sacredness of this song not knowing it was originally a drinking song

    14. Respect 🙏

she’ll definitely be banned and probably fined, but w/e. I can respect it.

They want to be apolitical and yet they made a big deal about rescinding an invitation to the drag nuns for pride night and then had a Christians night thanks to human trash bag Kershaw.

Good for her. Hopefully the next person who does it can also point out the irony of the accompanying music being composed by a Brit.
