      RFK is truly a terrible person. I actually can’t think of a single person less qualified for a position ever.
      As a scientist I feel embarrassed of this country. We used to be the leaders in science and within months we’ve done irreparable harm to it’s infrastructure

      Also before people start blaming his brain worm, he was infected with pork tapeworm Larvae, it wouldn’t do anything like this, though it can cause seizures. Don’t blame the worm for his bad decisions.

      Pork tapeworms are relatively rare in America but in still prevalent in developing countries. So he probably go it while traveling

      Back when a second Trump presidency was still just a (terrifying) possibility on the horizon, RFK being appointed to this position was the thing that scared me most. I know a lot of crazy shit has happened since January, but I think this still scares me the most, because of the far-reaching and long-lasting damage that can be done (on a global scale!) when public health isn’t taken seriously.

      Maybe I missed it, but I do not recall the American Medical Assoc or the American Bar Assoc, et al, issuing an organized public statement indicating the dangers of ignoring medically proven, life-saving vaccines or the dangers of the elected representatives ignoring the law. They were silent therefore complicit. The damage is done. Not interested in their lukewarm, oh my, response at this point.

      10 years from now, the US will be a joke regarding economy, technology, and science. Russia could not have played this better. Trump was their best recruitment ever, winning a war for Russia without having to shoot a single bullet.

      It doesn’t matter if he got fact checked later on Xitter, he wasn’t fact checked live on-air on the largest TV propaganda network in the nation, which is taken as gospel truth by tens of millions of idiot MAGA drones.

      Doctors fact checking him on Xitter threads later that will be seen by 0.01% of the number of people who saw the Director of Health and Human Services for this entire country (that’s slowly collapsing under the weight of despotic fascism) spouting legitimately insane anti-science hard-right-conspiracy talking points don’t matter, the damage is done.
