Does Iran currently have significant SAM volume and quality to at least take out air launched cruise missiles and 4th gen fighters? Or are they mostly depleted or destroyed?
Regardless, seems like the IAF never actually crossed into Iranian airspace. They spent a few years decimating the Syrian SAMs.

I’m not saying it’s surprising but I felt Iran had a somewhat robust air defense.
And I know Iran ’s air force is aging and not the best but they should have a few fighters that are sky worthy.
I realize Israel would target much of these things with the first wave of strikes, but damn.

On the last strike, the IAF hit most of the sam sites. Guns are all they have left.
I would not want to be one of the dudes that draws the unlucky straw of flying one of the like 20 operational Iranian F-4 or Mig 29s during this.

Would love to see a cockpit video of AA from that perspective. Granted I think this is much too low

Earlier there was a video of supposed Iranian anti-aircraft guns going of and the person recording the video was recording birds. I couldn’t help but think those AA guns were trying to shoot down the birds but missing badly.
Imagine this x500 back in the day. Against Nazi air waves.

Lol trying to shoot down modern attack aircraft with flak 😆. Iran really telegraphing capabilities here. They do make some dramatic threats though..
Imagine being the poor kid who signed up to serve his country sitting on a ZU-23 in the dark, just waiting for the bomb. The commander keeps yelling fire but his voice gets quieter and the night gets darker every time you squeeze the trigger. The ammunition is older than you are and the gun was made before your grandfather. What can you do but pray?

What are we talking for fragmentation hitting the ground from AA? It does seem like some of the cities are pretty large and I feel like chunks of them getting peppered with shrapnel can’t be healthy. Granted, being hit with a BM is also not healthy.
