Laut öffentlichen Aufzeichnungen stammen einige maltesische Nachnamen aus Sizilien.

I have been interested in finding out the history of the two islands so I began searching for surnames and where they originated. they seem to all be centered on the southern coast. Some of them are spelled slightly differently.

I am sure many people here have these surnames or the Maltese equivalents thereof (Scicluna-Scicolone, Falzon-Falzone, Brincat-Brancato, etc)
