The fuck? That is 100% an illegal order, and every service member in every branch of every rank should know that. Anyone who follows that order is playing with their career.

What Trump is attempting to do is to set up a two-tier legal system, in which groups of people targeted by Trump are denied access to the legal system used by the rest of the country. This is a common ploy of authoritarians – because resistance to these attacks on the rule of law is weaker when these changes do not apply to everyone. It is much easier to pretend ‚this if fine‘ when you yourself are not a member of one of the groups being attacked.
