Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) was forcibly removed from a press conference Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is holding in Los Angeles.

The problem is that they’re fully aware of your perception of their actions and words, and they revel in it. That’s a form of control, to them. I have an older female family member in her 50s who had the strongest MAGA brainwashing of anyone in my immediate sphere.
She also sells a multilevel marketing scam beverage powder, and goes to a megachurch that preaches prosperity gospel and requires compulsory donations of your salary.
In public and in online exchanges, she’s a sweet lady and you’d never know someone replaced her brain with a pecan years ago. The irony is her parents were ww2 types who publicly defended civil rights when it was extremely unpopular to do so, and could cost you your employment or worse.
Point is; she adores when people call out behavior or action that would promote a reaction if the tables were turned. The social conformity in her life is so strong, and her reputation so tied to this movement, that the only thing left is that brief jolt of adrenaline she gets when she gets to argue.
Seeing how far she fell is one of my biggest embarrassments.
