In what may be one of the year’s most ironic moments, President Donald Trump spentWednesday night attending the opening of the musical “Les Misérables” at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. No, this isn’t some presidential obligation that Trump is reluctantly fulfilling. Rather, as he told Fox News Digital last week: “I love the songs, I love the play. I think it’s great.”
I 100% don’t think he’s actually aware of anything going on around him

Diaper misses the point of everything. He is too stupid to understand the basics of human communication.
Still the smartest and least disgusting Republican of the last several decades by a wide margin though.

There’s a timeline where he leverages his love for theater to be a really catty reviewer and is content with that. Alas we are not lucky enough to be in that timeline.

Not surprising he loves Les Mis, American Psycho’s Patrick Bateman loved it too, and for the same reasons:
[From Rotten Tomatoes Editorial](https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/the-bloody-banality-of-american-psycho/)
*”American Psycho is seemingly all details, and some of the details are inspired, like the constant references to Les Miserables, a grim yet toe-tapping exploration of the bleak lives of the wretched of the earth enjoyed by people rich enough to afford tickets to its endless Broadway run. Les Miserables is poverty porn. Fittingly, while Bateman’s peers may love Les Miserables , they treat the contemporary descendants of the musical’s subjects with abuse and disdain, and Bateman, of course, treats them much worse, with murderous barbarity.”*

That is the entire point of the republican party. Purposefully misconstrued points.
