Ich war jetzt ein paar Mal in dieser Straße und so ziemlich alles von St. Joost sieht so aus und ich habe die Bilder von Scheiße und Crackheads herausgehalten. Anf es riecht hier nach Pis und Drogen.

St Joost is poor. And unfortunately clandestine deposits are rife. Trashbags are cheap af. I don’t get why people do it. Drives me nuts.
In plaats van zoveel mensen een leefloon of werkloosheidsuitkering te geven in de gemeentes aldaar, zouden ze beter eens wat volk een borstel en een plastic zak geven.

It’s everywhere these days, couple of weeks ago I spotted some paint containers literally in the middle of the road of a rural part of the country.
Disgusting.

I’ve got insider knowledge that the municipality is poorly managed overall (especially mobility and trash disposal). Limited ressources is one thing, but if anything good management is all the more important
Brussels not only has a trash issue, the people have an attitude problem. And it is not only in poorer areas. In Sint Gilles, the street of my partner is full of dog shit, and that is the haut of Sint Gilles, one of the more expensive areas. They even let their dog poo right in front of house doors, pee on doors, it is outrageous. But what is the solution? Imo for dog poo they should start DNA testing, which they do in Italy for example. But for the attitude problem, how do you educate people? Trash bags are cheap, there are two collection days for the white ones, there is a free service for large house waste like matresses etc. Underground containers for the trash bags would be great, that wouldn’t solve the littering however.
