      For me the funny part is that I did not like Newsom when he first ran. Now I am starting to like him more and more.

      Curious about his comment on stopping taxes going to the federal government, and how he would do that.

      Newsom as president is the best of both words. A sane democratic leader who can make meaningful changes without severely altering the country. Someone who can actually fix the mistakes of Trump.

      The ruling class seeing they made mistake in elevating Trump are now trying to set up Newsom as the guy for the inevitable voter backlash. It’s so obvious. Newsom is a republican on all but a few social issues.

      Last summer campus protesters throughout the country changed „fCK Joe Biden“ to express anger at the Administration’s support for Israel. Joe Biden didn’t respond by calling the protesters unpatriotic, criminals, thugs, etc. Joe Biden didn’t threaten the protesters or send in the National Guard.

      When Obama was President the Tea Party movement held protests all over the country. The Tea Party claimed Obama was a secret Muslim, was born in Kenya, claimed Obama hated White people, etc. Obama didn’t retaliate with threats and insults.

      Trump is escalating tensions. Trump is willfully provoking people because Trump wants conflict. It is sad.

      In June of ’20 Trump’s appointed Sec of Defense wrote:

      „We must reject any thinking of our cities as a ‚battlespace‘ that our uniformed military is called upon to ‚dominate,“ Mattis wrote. „At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors.“

      The way the news reacts when a major storm hits a city is the way they should be reacting to this. Trump is trying to create a warzone in downtown LA. He is literally attacking Liberal states.
