    1. Woah, it’s like that executive action that directed armed forces into helping with enforcing domestic policies is doing just what the people shouting about how dangerous of a precedent it was setting was no surprise at all

    2. modern day nazis going in and dragging people to a death camp, i’m gonna be fucking sick

Not what people in the military signed up for. The brass must absolutely hate Trump.

This really is 1930s Nazi Germany all over again. How can Americans allow this to happen?

And this awful man seems to be spending way more than he’s saving.

And his ridiculous tariffs driving prices up up up…

He just rolls from one disasterous Trump inflicted chaotic „policy“ to the next.

What an absolute MESS the USA has become. USA on the way to collapse.

I would love someone who practices law to answer my question. I was wondering, if congress holds the purse strings and delegates money to different factions of the government, how is our unfortunate leader ding dong, getting access to money for ICE, national guard to LA, his bday parade. Isn’t there a limit? Isn’t this why there is a budget and insane dictators can’t just unilaterally decide to spend all our money on crazy misadventures?

Charging the military with an exorbitantly expensive mission that they are not trained or equipped to execute – waste and fraud would apply to this ( besides all that Posse comitatus stuff)

    7. Trump’s comments about John McCain:

      >He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured, okay? I hate to tell you.

      >[https://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/trump-attacks-mccain-i-like-people-who-werent-captured-120317](https://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/trump-attacks-mccain-i-like-people-who-werent-captured-120317)

Trump’s comments about the Medal of Honor:

      >It’s (the Presidential Medal of Freedom) the equivalent of the congressional Medal of Honor. But the civilian version, it’s actually much better because everyone that gets the Congressional Medal of Honor, they’re soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead.

      >[https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2024/08/16/trump-belittles-medal-of-honor-award-in-campaign-speech/](https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2024/08/16/trump-belittles-medal-of-honor-award-in-campaign-speech/)

Trump has a track record of insulting wounded veterans.

      >In a 2020 report for The Atlantic, Goldberg quoted sources who said that, while planning a 2018 military parade, Trump wanted wounded veterans excluded because “Nobody wants to see that.” Goldberg also reported that Trump’s decision not to visit American military interred in a French cemetery in 2018 wasn’t because the rain made it unsafe to fly, as Trump claimed, but because the cemetery was “filled with losers,” a claim Trump vehemently denied.

      >But there’s enough evidence of Trump deriding military heroes and deriding people who are disabled to believe he has little regard for people who are disabled military heroes. For example, in what counts as one of the most deplorable displays by a candidate for U.S. president, in 2015 Trump mocked Pulitzer-Prize winning New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who has arthrogryposis, a congenital joint condition that limits movement in his arms.

      >[https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/gen-mark-milleys-disturbing-reminder-trumps-disdain-wounded-vets-rcna111476](https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/gen-mark-milleys-disturbing-reminder-trumps-disdain-wounded-vets-rcna111476)

I suspect that a lot of active duty military already know that they took oaths to the constitution, not to a tyrant who disrespects their service.

If you know anyone who serves, please remind them of what Trump has said. A commander in chief in name only.

Project 2025 recommends that the Military be used for domestic law enforcement.

    9. Besides being an obvious unlawful deployment this is just wasteful..thought that’s what they were against

So how many more lines does this administration going to cross before the house and senate take charge? He’s only one man and frankly not a very smart or intimidating one.

    11. keep in mind. most undocumented immigrants have made civil infractions, not crimes.

and ice is deporting immigrants who are waiting for hearings. those are people who are both here legally and currently undocumented because they got put on say a 2 year waiting list and their visa expired in that time, they are still here legally if they have hearings upcoming.

ice is utilizing loopholes to deport those people to foreign prisons. those aren’t criminals. and indefinite detention goes against international treaties, and human rights organizations have already raised alarms.

      this is ethnic cleansing.

    12. Hot_Mathematician357 on

All of this because Obama deported more illegal immigrants in the history of the United States.

    13. hamiltonisoverrat3d on

Beyond being unbelievable cruel and not actually addressing immigration reform – this is an unbelievable waste of money.

    14. Just waiting for China or Russia to try something while the Trump administration is looking the other way.

    15. Ok-disaster2022 on

They should be training, developing new tactics and methods for a potential war with China. But sure have them act as SS and not get any actual training down.

      Fucking facist rapist moron.

    16. What are we playing a game of how many fucking laws can we break in 6 months!?! JFC

    17. Awkward_Definition97 on

So they will put them in camps and toast them in ovens. Thats the next steps.

    18. LibrarianNo6865 on

This dude going to be the most expensive president ever and we going to have nothing to show for it after he slithers off. But we can’t fix healthcare or minimum wage. This country is fucked even after he leaves. Both parties lack the stones to handle issues anymore. They haven’t handled anything is basically 15 years.

    19. praguepride on

We can’t afford to feed hungry children or fund cancer research but we can spend billions to deploy the military to do what three domestic government agencies are already doing because Trump doesn’t think the numbers are impressive enough.

It is amazing at how this immigrant crisis just seems to get worse and worse under Trump’s administration no matter how much he tweets about it….

    20. RandyArgonianButler on

They’re just trying to start slavery again.

Because China has grown a big set of balls, and became an economic powerhouse on its own. The USA cannot rely on China or Southeast Asia for extremely cheap labor.

The goal is to get hundreds of thousands of these Latino people rounded up and sent to for-profit prisons in El Salvador and use them for cheap labor. Due process will be ignored, as people caught up in the mix accidentally will just boost the numbers. “Oops too late we can’t get them back!”

    21. Mooseguncle1 on

This is the part where people die because the people that could act did not.

    22. Good4Noth1ng on

These republican dumb fucks don’t realize that letting the military in this instance will only give them a validation/ precedent for next time. This time might not be for your cause, but next time you won’t even have a chance because the military you let in last time is already waiting to whoop your ass this time.

    23. TemporalColdWarrior on

I don’t give a shit if it’s free, the only military I want operating domestically is the Army Corps of Engineers and other similar logistical and humanitarian branches. That said, I wouldn’t even trust Trump with that.

He’s going to run out of people willing to do his bidding… the same way he bankrupts everything he touches.
