Oh dear lord. I mean, a lot of people suspect foul play already, but if confirmed it’s going to be chaos.

    2. PopPalsUnited on

The most fucked up part is that even if we find out the election was rigged Congress has already made the Orange buffoon President by certifying the results. That cant be undone so he’d have to be romoved via Impeachment or resignation and those won’t happen.

      God bless America.

    3. This is a lawsuit about one county in New York with a typically Newsweek clickbait headline.

I’ve been hearing and reading damning things about the election since last fall. To put it mildly, I have ben apprehensive of these allegations, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were based in reality. I am eager to see them sussed out in NY State court.

I wouldn’t trust Felon, Musk, or Putin with a cake in the kitchen.

They are shameless criminals who have never faced accountability. They would absolutely steal an election if they had the tools.

Trust but verify. Trust the institutions, but by God, we should have investigated the day after.

„In any case, it does not appear that any of these inconsistencies would be sufficient to change the outcomes of any of the elections in question in New York state.“

Just fyi – yeah, we ought to always read past the headlines. This is pertaining to just New York state, and it is unclear if it will even change the outcomes of local elections, let alone nationally.

I think people are missing a crucial point here. Even if it cant undo the election, we can definitely start exposing election fraud.

If it is ruled that these machines had been tampered with and as suck changed the results of these votes. What is then going to happen? Are the republican Congressmen and women going to just say that they ignore the ruling and keep on doing their 2025 stuff? Would a third impeachment of Trump be a realistic outcome with the current members of Congress?

And Elon did admit to helping in some capacity. I wonder what that was

    10. SHOW_ME_PIZZA on

Cool. Even if Trump himself came out and said that he rigged the election, explained how, and showed proof. Nothing will be done about it. Congress has no spine and are effectively okay with it. So excuse me for not holding my breath.

I for one cannot WAIT for it to come out the Trump cheated his win and for Democratic leadership to say „We have to maintain the peaceful transition of power, so, Trump gets to stay in the White House.“

    12. Results were under scrutiny days and weeks after. With GOP controlled house this lawsuit would and will be a nothing-burger. Important to democracy in the total picture but can’t see much changing until 2028

    13. WilHunting2 on

Finally this is being picked up by the mainstream media.

Trump and the GOP compromised the integrity of the 2024 election.

      Trump cheated.

Remember the P in GOP stands for project.

    14. hi_im_fuzzknocker on

What if though. What if this election was actually stolen? What could happen, will any maga believe it or will it just be more deep state nonsense to those idiots. I can’t help but think nothing will come of it.

    15. Individual_Respect90 on

The article says it won’t change the outcome but I think it should. If 40% of voting machines are compromised that’s a pretty big deal.

    16. TheInfiniteSlash on

If true, it’d be greater than the Watergate scandal.

Nixon didn’t have the luxury of a party fully in his pocket, Republicans at the time actually cared about integrity, and worked with Democrats to threaten impeachment if he didn’t resign.

I don’t have any faith in the GOP to remove Agent Orange in a similar scenario.

But the point in the article about people voting for the democrat candidate for the Senate but not Kamala Harris has the data leaning in its favor:

Trump won Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan, yet the Democrat candidate won all those races. We can mix the North Carolina gubernational race for another example of this too.

I chalked those up as truly horrible GOP candidates being put up (Mark Robinson and Kairi Lake to be specific), but I can see the disparity here.

On the other hand, the Senate races in Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania were also super close, so perhaps there were just enough voters to mix their parties in voting, but it’s hard imagining someone who would vote Trump for President, then Ruben Gallego for Senator

    17. Wishing them the best, but I know nothing will come of it even if they prove wrong doing.

    18. Efficient-Water2384 on

This right here is probably why that bafoon is escalating things in LA to deflect attention. A precinct that overwhelmingly voted in a Dem senator got ZERO votes for Harris. BS.

    19. MosesBeachHair on

How is there not a hand count audit in each state in each election? All they have to do is pick a handful of the most populous districts and a random handful of other districts and hand count to see if it matches the electronic count. They would not have to count them all.

    20. Stranger-Sun on

They cheated. No doubt in my mind. I have enough faith in the American people to say that they didn’t want this corrupt shitstain in office again.

    21. HarryBalsag on

Only 7 months after the election and they’re finally looking into the possibility that it might have been rigged.

It’s not like project 2025 details how they plan on rigging it, or that Elon Musk has all but admitted to rigging it, or that Donald Trump has all but admitted that Elon Musk rigged the election for him. There definitely weren’t any data or regularities in voting numbers and there weren’t any physical breaches.

It happened, we knew it was going to happen and they told us it was going to happen and Joe Biden decided to ignore that anyways. Kamala Harris decided to concede anyways. They are either complicit or so fucking incompetent that they can’t stop an obvious steal.

    22. The right has already poisoned the well with this discourse. They still push the narrative than 2020 was falsely won. If there are shenanigans about this one they will simply redirect to that – again.

    23. mexicocityblues on

Is this the “our little secret” Trump and Mike Johnson had going on?

    24. clintgreasewoood on

Unfortunately I thinks this ends like every investigation when it comes to Trump’s fuckery. They’ll find that some irregularities did happen that leads to results likely being stolen or altered but they can’t find the exact evidence. Then before they can get the evidence needed some court stop the investigation on a technicality, all while Trump and the rightwing apparatus claims vindication.

This group has been doing a lot of analysis of the election data. The attached video is good overview of where they’re seeing evidence to suggest manipulation of the voting tallies.

I’m not saying the election WAS fraudulently won but it’s a crazy principle that if it turned out it was the country would still be stuck with its felon president because there’d be nothing that could be done about it. What kind of system is that?

    27. GiantTeddyGraham on

This is why Musk abandoned ship and why Trump is going full dictator on California. It’s coming.

    28. reluctant_spinster on

Trump had a lot to lose other than just the election. I have no doubt he pulled every fraudulent string he could to secure the presidency.

Trump’s „why“ of stealing an election is WAY more obvious than anything they said about why Biden would ever steal an election.

Even if it doesn’t change things currently, exposing that Trump indeed cheated would hopefully change some minds going forward. I know some are far gone and won’t believe anything, but it’s still worth a shot.

    29. supermadandbad on

As if it would change anything. Face it, democracy’s weakness was tolerance for everyone and their opinions.

Without hard lines that are punished for being crossed you get Jan 6, politicians bought and paid for by Russia, billionaires buying the country, hate and racist comments being free speech.

America is toast, you’re never getting it back. Republicans WILL cross the line if taunted. They will arrest gay people, people of color, they will break and twist laws to get the outcome they want. There is no shaming them into doing the right thing anymore since Donald Trump.
