This is a really interesting topic. In the Canada building code, you’re always determining what your designing for based on factors. There’s a snow load factor and a wind factor. For areas on the west coast there is design for earthquakes, and on the east coast there is design for hurricanes. I do not believe there are any design factors for wildfires.
