      They are absolutely despotic and at this point I’m hoping Newsom and Californians seriously consider independence…I mean what kind of union is this? What place do we have here? Its pretty clear how this country views California, constantly villainizing us while taking every opportunity to rob us of our money and withhold support in times of crisis. A single election isn’t going to fix the systemic damage this administration has caused, and I’m not even optimistic most of the US won’t fight us on it every step of the way. We need a fresh start and to restore world allies.

      This sucks, but those of us who paid attention knew this was coming.

      This will come to everyone in every state sooner or later. Working against it now with peaceful protests and strikes is our last best chance to stop despotism.

      Every time a California Democrat whines about Republican authoritarianism or fascism the rest of us are expected to pretend that California doesn’t have the came „creative“ interpretations of the parts of the Constitution that they feel are inconvenient. California is yet another state that has created and enforced a special class of Constitutional rights for law enforcement; what’s happening is exactly what their state legislators designed.

      This stopped being a protest once people started setting fires, throwing dangerous items and attacking others. And the „protesters“ are angry because people came here illegally and are being sent back. If a person doesn’t come thru a proper port they already broke the law. You have a right to have someone removed from your house if they break in. Why does America not have the same right? Come thru the front door the right way. Not thru the window

      Except the police chief just said they were needed. They destroyed police cars and residents property, businesses and personal property. Any normal person would rather the national guard called then people who are not even california residents being sent in to destroy personal property.
