It’s better if you remove anything that isn’t wood.
The round metal bits aren’t attached to anything, just pry them out. You may also be able to get them out by turning the piece around and smacking the back. The plastic bit seems to be screwed on. Do you not have a screw driver at home? Time to buy one.

Thanks everyone, appreciate quick response. I’ll get metal pieces out with force and other non-wood parts, and get it to recycling center.
