I know people don’t like Elon Musk, and I’m right there with you, but he was so, so right when he said AI legislation needed to be proactive and that if you’re having to legislate for things already taking place, you’ve lost the war on information.

So they should. Charging a freaking fortune for their „legal expertise/knowledge“ and then using a computer to do the work…

A single insurance of this should be enough to see you disbarred, banned from the profession for life and tried for fraud.
It should also be a warning to the firm, with serious consequences if there’s multiple breaches.
This AI push is fucking dangerous for our society. It’s going to be the worst legacy possible that Starmer is refusing to legislate against it. Worse than Brexit. Easily.

The scariest thing about AI (LLMs specifically) is that people don’t understand how they work and just blindly trust their outputs.

They are biased.
ChatGPT became [sycophantic](https://openai.com/index/sycophancy-in-gpt-4o/) and was very likely to agree with the user even when the user is wrong.
Grok seems to exhibit the wild [right wing biases of Elon Musk](https://www.businessinsider.com/xai-grok-training-bias-woke-idealogy-2025-02).
I’m really quite shocked that there appear to be just as many stupid lawyers as there are stupid normal people.
