Simone Biles is also 10x the athlete than that loser Gaines is. Good to see the Olympian standing up for trans women.

    2. Its quite telling its largely males that have a a issue with trans athletes. They say they are protecting women but looking at the way women vote most disagree. So once more men telling women what’s good for them.

    3. Everything in the conservative agenda is for one of two purposes: Either to advantage themselves (predominantly cis-het white Christian males), or to impose inferiority or hardship on everyone else.

Conservatives justify imposing inferiority on trans women as protecting fairness to women, but then conservatives justify imposing inferiority on women (reproductive rights) as protecting the lives of children, but then conservatives justify imposing hardship on children (eliminating subsidies for neonatal care, daycare, HeadStart, school lunches, welfare, food stamps, preschool, or any other mother/child assistance you can think of) as protecting taxpayers – which is them. Additionally, 93% of pedophiles identify as religious, but conservatives never try to limit religion or the religious, because it is predominantly them. Also, the number one KILLER of children is guns, but conservatives never talk about this, because they are predominantly the gun owners.

I could go on and on.

    4. Yet another reason to love Simone Biles! ❤️ Bet she could beat that chick at anything.

    5. If it were up to conservatives, women wouldn’t be able to play sports at all; cis or trans. Transphobia just ends up hurting all women.

Gaines is a definitely a bully, but don’t lose sight of the fact that Biles also suggests there should be a separate category for trans people in all sports in her tweet. Meaning she also knows it’s not fair for cis women to have to compete against someone who was born a male and went through male puberty. This is a losing issue for Dems, and it’s best we start working towards a compromise on the issue as she suggests.

Riley Gaines owes her career to trans people. Her sucking at swimming made her millions. She deserves to be mocked.

    8. u guys fucking suck lol. none of the “facts” that you base your arguments against trans women on are real. it’s just assumption because you don’t understand bodies or hormones or sports. trans women are not dominating women’s sports just because a few have won a few competitions. everyone that is a pro athlete already has a biological advantage. their bodies were advantages enough to not have disabilities that make it difficult for them to play sports. michael phelps literally hs a genetic mutation that makes him build muscle more easily. it is just the way of things. it has nothing to do with science or invading women’s safe spaces or support/defending women and everything to do with bigotry that y’all will do anything but admit and confront. you can think this is a losing issue all you want. plenty of people thought that a o it trans rights and gay marriage and yet it’s now en vogue to be supportive. this will change in a few years and everyone will once again pretend that they always supported trans people

#One is a real Olympian, and the other is a SORRY ASS who blames her failures on everyone else.

    10. Just curious, aren’t sports already inclusive? the ‚male‘ category is open to all, while the ‚female‘ category exists to ensure fairness due to physical differences. Allowing males(transwomen) in the female category could undermine that fairness – so regressive!

I don’t see why we can’t just have all genders compete together and use a handicapping system like in my wife’s pool league.

    12. You can be pro lgbt+ and firmly stand against biological males participating in women only division sports.

    13. Think back to 1970’s when the MSHSL would not permit girls to participate in organized Minnesota high school sports. When girls wanted in, it was contoversial. There were negative comments. But things changed. And things are changing now.

The current administration can pound no transgender athletes into the US ideal, but, for example, the Olympics has its own rules.

The IOC outlined 10 principles, which it described as „grounded on the respect for internationally recognised human rights,“ that sports competitions should follow. It also said it will no longer require athletes to undergo hormone level modifications to compete.

      So, you just compete.

Lia won the 500 and had previously swum for the boys team much less successfully. All the controversy got a lot of attention from the press so a lot of people became aware of it.

I take issue with trans athletes competing in women’s events but the issue is just so overblown and used as outrage bait it’s very tiring.

    16. Gaines tied a trans woman for 5th place. Gaines lost to 4 other cis women, and in the true spirit of Conservative victimhood, she’s still complaining about it.
