      So it’s all going to Miller’s plan. The heads of the military have been replaced by yes men, the defence chief is a drunken imbecile. Civil unrest has been triggered by provocation. Next step in dictator’s playbook is declaring martial law to completely suspend civil rights and the rolling out the tanks to mow down the citizens who resist..

      Reminder to anyone who pretends to be „pro life“ – tear gas can induce abortion in pregnant people, and yet they’ve got no qualms about using it on unarmed, nonviolent protesters. (And miss me with property damage being equivalent to state violence, hypocrites)

      This is of course leaving aside the part where only State governors and the President can mobilize the National Guard (not „border czars“).

      And Stephen Miller calling it an „insurrection“ is probably deliberate as a lead-in to invoking the Insurrection Act.

      I thought L.A. had a police force. From what I remember, they were far from weak and were pretty good at „the beat down“.

      Is this just Trumps excuse for martial law?

      Only two people can deploy the CA National Guard. I have yet to see federalization nor have I seen anything from Newsome.

      If the NG from another state were to be called and deployed to CA without consent of CA, would that be considered an invasion?

      Everybody please brush up on the Kent State massacre.Do not think the National Guard won’t do much worse than anything you’ve seen police officers do….pigs will follow orders no matter how unethical. These boys will get away with it scott free though, just like they did at kent.

      Constructive nonviolence.

      1) If it gets tense, lie down and put the signs flat on the ground. Give their escalation nothing to work with.

      2) They will be sending in provocateurs. Do not join them. Let the national guard deal with them.

      This worked for Ghandi. It worked here in the civil rights marches. There will be plenty of video. Let the world see and decide who is in the wrong.

      The National Guard can’t babysit ICE forever. And I wonder how many of them signed up to wage war on their neighbors.

      For those in the national guard, remember that these are your neighbors, friends, and family. You are them and they are you. The real enemy are those trying to pull the strings to collapse democracy.
