The article doesn’t support the statement in your post title, and I’m waiting for you to elaborate or explain yourself.
The fact it’s estimsted to cost $175 billion is hilarious. But it’s pretty obvious this will never happen. Because it also opens up the door for orbital cannons. And eventually, the Orbital Space Treaty will be broken.
There’s this thing called physics that makes “Golden Dome” ineffective even if it was built. We’ve seen this movie before with SDI.
