that have interest right now, will they still have interest in 10-15 years? Their gov has time to change 5 times
BC is in a great position to deliver too with several LNG and mineral projects being built or in the planning stages.
I think Eby has done to the NDP in BC what Carney is doing for the LPC in that sometimes a change of leadership can light a fire under the incumbent government. Different circumstances though as the late John Horgan stepped down due to a health issues and is certainly missed. That being said I have to admit the more cynical side of me thinks this is due to a very close election result forcing progressive governments towards centrist policies.
Either way we are finally seeing some real change without having to go through the disruption of a new government coming to power and starting over, thats a win in my books.
Lots of people were hamming him on skipping out on some of the domestic meetings amongst the Premiers and Carney, but I thought his venture abroad would pay its own dividends. We need a new market for our products after all.
Maybe I am behind but I assumed when LNG Canada was pumping out the ads saying LNG is displacing coal, we already had these agreements in place. How else could they know their LNG was actually displacing coal, and not just being added to the energy mix? Also, are we building six new LNG plants with no one in place ready to buy it? What am I missing?
