    1. > “Have you learned about Ruby Bridges?” said Lee, referring to the first Black child to enter an all-white school in the South during desegregation efforts in 1960.

      > “If you have specific examples—,” McMahon replied.

      > “That was an incredibly specific example,” Lee fired back.

Oh my God she doesn’t know it’s a person’s name, she was thinking „what’s a ruby bridge?“

Brother she didn’t even know what AI was and kept reading the prompter and pronouncing it A-1 because she didn’t know what it stood for

So the Secretary of Health doesn’t believe in vaccines. The head of FEMA doesn’t know about hurricane season. The Secretary of Education doesn’t know basic facts about the integration of our education system. All the brain trusts are using hackable apps to have secret war conversations on where they accidentally invite journalists. I could go on. But this presidency is cartoonishly bad.

      >Secretary [Linda McMahon](https://www.independent.co.uk/topic/linda-mcmahon) instead repeatedly told House lawmakers on Wednesday that social studies “should all be taught accurately” and that “we should hear all sides.”

This is code for they are already teaching that the 2020 election was stolen in Republican controlled states so this question doesn’t even matter because a false version of history is presently being taught as the actual truth to children.

    5. Just a reminder that Linda McMahon’s husband is currently being sued for among other things, allegedly defecating on the head of a female employee during a sex act.

Which is to say, Linda McMahon absolutely thinks kids should not be taught Trump lost in 2020.

These people aren’t complex. Or smart.

    7. This unqualified elderly lady couldn’t read a spreadsheet if her life depended on it. All she’s done is spend money others earn and she’s never had to keep a count.

How about a pandemic that he didn’t handle at all? His response to that was a Trump cheque and more double hand job dances l.

That tombstone piledriver that she took years ago clearly rattled what was left of her shriveled up brain

    10. She knows it’s bullshit but she’s too much of a coward to say it. So she clams up. She’s like a broken A1 chatbot.

      Uhhhhhh…

      1. Saying Trump lost in 2020 is a verifiable fact, and if he won 2020 then this current administration is illegal and therefore invalid.

      2. It’s not even in the same realm as DEI in the first place.

    12. Shows that she knows it’s a ridiculous argument that she doesn’t disagree with.

    13. General-Media-7198 on

A1 is a steak sauce, AI is artificial intelligence… Linda McMahon is not intelligent.

„Should we teach children that Mickey Mouse won the 2020 election? Because that’s as accurate as saying Trump did.“

    15. These people are so adamant that they are ‚taking their country back‘ – and they are SO cowed!!

    16. trialofmiles on

Is DEI now just stuff Trump doesn’t want to be true, it’s not even about inclusiveness now?

    17. Dogitabonita on

Most of us know that Trump lost in 2020, but I’m beginning to think he may have lost in 2024 and thanks to a bit of Elonia magic he’s back in the White House. Crazy times!

    18. „The people who threw rocks at Ruby Bridges for trying to go to school in 1960 now are upset their grandchildren might learn about them throwing rocks at Ruby Bridges for trying to go to school.“

Made me think of this quote.

„DEI“ is the new „Woke“ in terms of GOP-world parlance. Anything they don’t like is „DEI“. Which for anyone who has more than two brain cells and isn’t hooked up via intravenous injection of GOP propaganda knows is not what that acronym means. The misuse and abuse of the term „DEI“ just makes these people look even more like ignorant, dumb-as-dirt fools. Trump handily lost the 2020 election, he even admitted it. The flip-flopping and ham-fisted while also dumb-as-rocks obvious attempt at revisionist history just further entrenches the public opinion that these people are loony idiots. Even uneducated voters (the bulk of our electorate) know that Trump lost in 2020, the polling data also shows this and that it was a turn-off for non-committed voters for the GOP and Trump to put it on blast that he actually „won“ and the 2020 election was „stolen“. Furthermore, this is a catch-22, if Trump *did* win in 2020 and the election was stolen, *and* they are successful at convincing a non-insignificant portion of the electorate that this is the case, then the public will cease to believe in the legitimacy of elections. Yes, I know that voter disenfranchisement is the goal with this stuff, but this will be a leopards eating their faces moment because we know they’re going to attempt to ratfuck the 2026 midterms and 2028 General Election. They cannot help themselves when it comes to lying and obvious buffoonery so the election interference (aka cheating) will be obvious to even the layman and just further push the electorate to revolt. It is primarily the ego and personalities of this administration as to why they will never emerge as a successful authoritarian state or dictatorship because they lack the nuance and skill to effectuate the public easement into it.

Could you imagine being in, say, a court of law…and an officer of the court asked you a clear yes/no question, to which you responded in vague platitudes?

    27. Complaining here does nothing.

People will have to go into ALL the socials media for these people and let them know how you feel and what you think.

They will crack and it will be Epic.

    28. Is everything they don’t like “DEI” to them? Why are they throwing it around like an adjective?

    29. This lady has zero place being in charge of anything let alone US education. Fucking huge yikes but I guess it’s par for the course with this joke of an admin
