      I’ve never been a FOX News viewer and I long ago bailed on CNN and MSNBC and it has done wonders for my mental health. I urge everyone to try and do the same. You will be a much happier person.

      This doesn’t surprise me one bit. I work in home care and 50% of the homes I go into to see elderly patients just have Fox News on and playing all day. It’s like background noise for them.

      Democrats lost the election. They know why they lost. They know they don’t have the numbers or the right politicians in place to fight back. They’re tired of being reminded of it and aren’t going to spend another 4 years tuning in for rage-bait like they did the last time.

      I understand the declines in msnbc and cnn. Why the fuck would anyone watch that crap to get news given the last…everything? As for fox, what the actual hell, more people? Are trumpers just rage bating on it or something? Fox news is a cancer and if we ever get out of this, the people who work their should be incarcerated some length for high crimes against the country

      tbh it’s probably not so bad. I haven’t had cable for over a decade and get my news online which I’m sure lots of us do as well.

      But still bad news.

      Stating the obvious … but that’s cause Fox News isn’t news at all. It’s bad entertainment for bad people with a bonus dose of dopamine and two-minute hate.

      Other channels being centrist half-a-loaf journalism-ish can’t compete with that. They’re not even the same things.

      The problem is not a lot of people moving from moderate media to fantasy land but people moving away from networks constantly sane washing an administration hellbent on making peoples lives harder.

      You don’t need a fucking 6 view panel to debate on why deporting children on chemo dying of cancer mid-treatment is not a good thing.

      You don’t need a 6 view floating head box to explain why buying plates for pardons is a bad thing.

      Every day the administration falls deeper into corruption and depravity and CNN wants to promote a book about Biden’s health while he’s home eating ice cream. It’s not news anymore it’s controlled ignorance designed to paint extremes as norms and at best ignoring all of the opinions and interpretations I have provided here—it’s just plane inefficient. No not all news is “breaking now!!!” when it’s 3 weeks old, not everything is a “major development” that requires a 2 hour segment.

      No you can consume 6 hours of 24 hour news show “news” in about 30 minutes of reading on AP or any article source+form your own opinions on topics without being told what to believe by a floating head.

      I dumped CNN when they gave Trump a Live Townhall filled with his sycophants asking rehearsed softball questions *after* what had happened on January 6th. Then proceeded to act like he was a viable candidate the entire election.

      I turned off MSNBC the night of the election and haven’t watched US ‘news’ since.

      I feel so much better. Those companies are just as complicit as Fox News for the dumbing down of America.

      I quit watching MSNBC when it was just doom and gloom after election. I know it’s bad, start asking dems in power how are they gonna stop trump. I wanted to see some backbone and hold dems accountable for a lack of reaction and a plan to oppose trump. They didn’t happen.
