Starmer is in a tough position right now that’s not entirely his fault , I’d call it a pickle forsure .
Carneys throne speech was a play on this aswell . Dude has multiple moves in mind every peice he moves on the board .

The UK government is under no obligation to consider the best interests of Canada, and frankly, I don’t expect them to. (Should they? Yes. But politicians are freckles).
The King is not the UK or Canadian government, his authority in the country is delegated in his absence, and there are many examples of the sovereign having to balance the interests/demands of countries other than the UK.

I certainly would hope so, but not gonna get any hopes up about any support.
Most likely will take steps to defend and support themselves, first and foremost. Even if it means abandoning Canada or other nations. Can’t start hoping for others to resolve it; gotta solve it ourselves.

Canada was formed in part because Great Britain didn’t want to defend the territory anymore.
I remain unconvinced this has changed in the light of recent events.
