I think what Trump really likes is pardoning people who have been convicted by juries and sentenced by judges and have prepared to go to prison… right before they have to actually surrender.
That was the case with former Sheriff Scott Jenkins, who I think was to report to prison today. Roger Stone, too. Fraudster Carlos Watson, the same day he was going to surrender. The fraudsters he’s been pardoning have also been relieved of paying millions of dollars in restitution to victims, including the IRS.
Its very clear if you look through Trumps pardons is he does not view corruption and white collar crime as something that should be punished. You steal from a store he thinks you should be in prison you defraud millions from the government or working class you should get a free pass.

While being wealthy, MAGA, or famous certainly helps your pardon application, claiming political and personal bias by a judge is really the key to a Trump pardon.

The couple was accused of conspiring to defraud Atlanta-area banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. Their accountant was also convicted on fraud and tax counts.
The Chrisleys then spent the money on luxury cars, designer clothes, real estate, and travel — and used new fraudulent loans to pay back old ones,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Atlanta said when they were convicted.
“After spending all the money, Todd Chrisley filed for bankruptcy and walked away from more than $20 million of the fraudulently obtained loans,” the U.S. attorney’s office said.
The couple, along with their accountant, was also accused of a conspiracy to defraud the IRS after they became famous on television, prosecutors said.
Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty by a jury on counts that include bank fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy. Julie Chrisley was also convicted on a count of obstruction of justice.
There’s seems to be a certain demographic to those he pardons ….hmmm
