      NGL, if I was a criminal, especially white collar, I’d have my lawyer working on a nice fat bribe to Trump. The beautiful thing is you don’t even need to do some shady backdoor deal and worry you’ll get caught. You might not get your pardon but you won’t get in any trouble for trying.

      But if you defraud banks to the tune of $30 million (Chrisley’s) or are in law enforcement (Scott Jenkins) and convicted of taking 75k in bribes, you’re a good person! I’m going to pardon you both because you helped my campaign!

      I have a memory- it could be mistaken- that most federal pardons that were ethically questionable would happen at the very end of an incumbents term. I guess shame is a thing of the past.

      Eeew. So gross. I still remember when I kept seeing tv ads for “chrisley knows best,” and thinking who the hell is chrisley and why would I care? And then the next thing I saw was these plastic people going away for tax fraud.
