Whoever is in charge of this woman’s security detail needs to get serious now. This is another possible „Ellliot Ness“ moment in history.
Remember, to a MAGA fanatic with a gun, a black woman isn’t even really human, Fox News has told them so all throughout Hariss‘ election cycle. So, it wouldn’t even really be murder to them. That’s how far gone they are now.
It’s sad that a singular party has to be in control of congress to do the right thing and remove an utterly corrupt president.

investigate everyone! Trump, the governors, Elon, the tech moguls, RFK Jr., ICE, the immigration judges in Louisiana, El Salvador, Qatar, Putin, everybody. Arrest all those who are guilty.
Posturing is easy. I appreciate her speaking up just because it will piss people off (and I wish more Democrats would do so), but an impeachment requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate and Congress lacks the ability to initiate criminal investigations. All they can do is refer a matter to the Department of Justice (the authority to prosecute federal crimes lies with the Executive Branch).
Does anyone wish to place a bet on whether *either* of those options gets anywhere after midterms, no matter how many seats switch sides?

Pipe dream. Congressional investigations and subpoenas were already borderline meaningless before this era of politics. You show up, plead the 5th, they get their news moment and everyone moves on. Every once in a while someone goes to jail for a year for out right ignoring a subpoena like Bannon. Although, this will never happen again with a republican in the White House directing the DOJ and Bureau of Prisons to not cooperate.
When the executive is ignoring the highest level of the judiciary, this means nothing.
The answer to this problem, should it ever get answered, will stem from the public. Congress will just co-sign once it is not able to be ignored anymore.
It hasn’t done any good up to this point.

His crimes are in plain sight – just replay all the televised evidence, charge him with multiple violations of the Hatch act that are indisputable and vote.
THEN look into the shit they’re hiding or might be contentious – human trafficking to El Salvador and whatnot.
Sadly, with so many Americans gone weak in the head with the MAGAt infestation, that sort of high crime is more likely to be derailing to the removal effort than just the naked graft.

Anybody who wants accountability for Trump is already voting D and probably lives in a safe D district.
If you really want to move the needle, offer up policies that are attractive to swing voters.
Honestly if they regain the house, fuck trump, start fixing shit for the people.
If there is an election, a fair one, and by a miracle Democrats control any arm of government, they need to use it to help the people.
And drive home who they help.
Go into republican strongholds and explain how democratic policies fixed their towns, why people should vote to help others.
Trump is a shiny distraction who feeds on attention.
Take away the attention, and do what you’re actually elected to do.
A few people can prosecute trump, sure, but we need to right the country rather than continue to fight.

*If* Dems can retake the house and assuming we still have a country by then, I don’t doubt that Rep. Crockett and others with her fire and clear eyes will do their God-damnedest to at least *try* to do what they’re supposed to do. It’s the democratic party as a whole I don’t have much faith in.
If the senior leadership would realize and act accordingly on the blatant fact that the GOP is thoroughly compromised and the Chump regime will cheat at every possible opportunity (and already has, multiple times,) then they might have a chance.

Investigate? How about enforce the convictions he’s already been tagged with? How about enforce any of the clear-as-day things he’s done, like ignoring court orders time and time again? Investigation means nothing if you’re unwilling or unable to enforce the consequence.

He should be being investigated now, but the Republican Party is a joke and very much as corrupt as he is.

They can’t divorce themselves from decorum enough to do anything but write a sternly worded letter!
