BS, it has aged fine. Why is it always the progressive shows about women which face the harshest criticism? She shouldn’t be so critical, she should be proud of her work. Progress has been made since the 90s. That was still a very progressive show and tbh in many ways it would still be ahead of its time if it were made today. Much of the world still has not accepted that women want to have sex and aren’t just doing it to accommodate men. I hate that people criticize the most progressive shows for not being progressive enough. We can’t expect tv shows to be perfect woke utopias and it seems like it’s always the women-centric and queer shows that get singled out even though they are above and beyond progressive compared to everything else being made at the time

‚“It was always very difficult being on a show that was so white. I always hated that. When we would raise it, we were told this is Candace Bushnell’s [the writer of the newspaper column and 1996 book on which the show is based] world and it’s a very white world. ‚I’m like, OK…,‘ “ she said.‘

‘Nixon, who is married to wife Christine Marinoni, also said that „some of the trans stuff, some of the gay stuff was a little cringy to look at.“’

She shouldn’t have to say this. That show represented the status quos and societal standards at that time.
