      This passage from the article sticks out to me for multiple reasons.

      Knee jerk was something like *this congressman sounds like a moron*.

      Then I read that it was posted by Chuck Grassley, and it became something like *how impressive this old man knows how to use Twitter*

      Also, Trump hasn’t turned on Putin. His actions are all that matters, his words are ephemeral and worthless.

      BS. He never „turned on putin.“ He sometimes says things here and there to create the appearance that he’s turning on putin, but he doesn’t actually do anything to try to hurt russia and help Ukraine. He also keeps criticizing Zelensky and trying to „both sides“ the war. trump is not really going to turn on his master.

      Trump is merely trying to avoid taking an action that will cause him real political blowback from either the pro Putin or pro Ukraine sides of the Republican party. This is why he lambasts Zelensky just as much (or more) than Putin.

      In the end, however, Trump will do nothing. But it’s in Trump’s interests to keep stringing everyone along, thinking there’s a chance he might go one way or the other, for as long as possible. Maybe Russia will just finally finish off their conquest of Ukraine before Trump has to make any decisions. If only Zelensky would get with the program and surrender, then this entire distraction could finally be swept away.

      He’s *not* turning on Putin… this is all theater. They think that we’ll believe that he’s breaking with his puppet master, if puts out BS like this, when we all know that this is all prearranged, and wording agreed to by his handlers.

      There is not a chance that he is „turning on Putin“

      His anger at Putin is entirely fake. He’s forced to fake it for his political survival.

      We’ve all heard the expression ‚Survival of the fittest‘. Well Trump is an example of ‚Survival of the shittiest‘.

      Nope don’t get it twisted. MAGA is that subset of people who will argue anything to own the libs and keep power by worshiping anything trump says.       Lot’s of talk, meanwhile Putin laughs at Trump and the Western allies. They will be next unless Putin is stopped. Haven’t we learned anything about appeasement? Strong sanctions and continued military aid. Get Russians to turn on Putin.
