They want more cuts to the poor getting rid of the tax cuts for the wealthy does not even come into there minds.
To make it hurt more. They are all Godless fucks.

The thing is if they weren’t forcing the cuts to prop up the tax cuts for the rich they could easily pass Trump’s enabling act but because of forcing the cuts it’s political suicide for someone like Hawley to vote yes on this.
What about the part where courts can’t go after Trump?
Poor people don’t write campaign contributions.

This bill kills democracy and the rule of law in the United States, it is the final nail.
This bill is 1,000 pages long, and a majority of shit is just copy/paste from Project 2025 so they can get it passed as quickly as possible. Any ruse that the Republicans have „demands“ is a literal joke at this point.
I don’t trust that the senate Republicans are somehow going to do anything moralistic here.

I suspect that Hawley only cares because repealing funding increases for Medicaid will severely screw over his state of Missouri. Unlike essentially every other state, we expanded Medicaid through a state constitutional amendment, meaning that the state is legally obligated to continue Medicaid expansion and fund it regardless of the federal government’s share. This setup means that cutting Medicaid funding would put the Missouri state government on the hook for every dollar of that reduction.
They will cave at the first rambling tweets.

Gotta love how hard Hawley is going against Medicaid cuts so Missouri doesn’t lose their federal Medicaid expansion $$$ now that voters have made expanding Medicaid law.
One has to wonder whether the concept of Fiscal Conservatism is about to face a sun rise or sun set.
I don’t often agree with any of these guys, but for so-called conservatives to even consider passing a bill that includes substantial tax cuts but also raises the debt by almost $5T is unbelievable.
Ironically it isn’t the democrats who will force their hand to get real, it will be the bond market.
They can pass this bill if all three senators mentioned in this article vote against it. They claim there are other senators who feel the same way, and there may be.
I’ve got a hunch that the debt ceiling bit that Senator Paul talks about is taken out. They’ll be deeper spending cuts, per Senator Johnson. I’m guessing Medicaid is going to be the sacrificial lamb.
Add a „wealth tax“. We’re the richest country in the world. Stop pretending we’re broke. It’s now the only option left for patriots
Remove provision that cripples enforcement by the federal courts.

Unfortunately, they’ll vote along party lines and force this shit through. I don’t buy, for a second, that they give the remotest care for their constituents and how badly this bill will hurt millions of Americans.
