I guess all that’s left to do is for the survivor to sign a deal with Netflix, turn his story into a movie, and use the money to buy more BTC.
It was an even richer crypto guy holding him hostage I believe. They knew each other, super weird situation.
wallets should implement some clever emergency feature where if you plug in a specific pin instead of the normal one, it locks your funds for years. Then have some kind of sneaky way to make it so that only the original wallet creator can reclaim the funds after that time even if they were forced to hand over all the wallet info to the captors.
